"We hired Ryan at Down To Earth Landscaping to help us turn our backyard dreams into reality. After several discussions of our water runoff issues and vision for a new retaining wall and steps into our shed, Ryan was able to offer very helpful suggestions and an explain how best to complete the work within our budget. We knew that he fully understood our wants and needs as he was able to articulate things in a way that we knew he saw our vision and so that we could understand what the work entailed. During the work, Ryan kept us informed of the progress and he was able to complete it well within the timeline and budget he had quoted. His workmanship was very thorough and his attention to detail was as if Ryan was working on his own backyard. As well, Ryan went above and beyond to make sure that our yard was left in a very clean state - he even took away debris from the old retaining wall, which was not part of his quoted services. All of our friends and family have commented on how great our yard looks now after the upgraded retaining wall has been installed, and the steps to our shed are more than useful. We would definitely recommend Ryan and Down To Earth Landscaping to anyone...so much so that we are planning to have Ryan come back this spring to do more landscape work in our front yard!"

From our first meeting until the job was concluded we were absolutely impressed. He arrived when he said he would, provided us with a contract, kept in communication with us, and the project cost exactly what he said it would in his quote. There were no surprises and we never once doubted Ryan’s commitment to the job. When one of our other trades delayed the project, Ryan remained unruffled and was flexible in rescheduling. His professionalism made a very stressful project feel manageable. Ryan and his crew worked diligently and we are completely happy with our beautiful patio. It was my good fortune to have found Ryan to convert the outside spaces of my home into special places. I live downtown and have a deep backyard. Personally, I lack any creativity, so my garden was plain and somewhat dowdy. Ryan came to look at it, thought about it and then drew pictures for me of what he was suggesting we do. I was very impressed with, not only his creativity and artistic eye, but his ability to keep within my budget. I am a physician educator as well as a home owner who, has had many a workmen and companies for renovations and others work for me. Watching Ryan's work ethic, his professionalism and adherence to dates and time keeping, I wished some of the people I taught and who had worked for me, had the same drive, pride and commitment to their work. Not only did Ryan keep to my budget, his advice about plants and pathways was invaluable. I then invited him to rearrange my front garden and walkway. The walkway was cement, Ryan suggested interlocking pathway bordered by lovely box woods in river stone beds. He transformed my Backyard into a haven for me and the beautiful colourful birds in my neighbourhood. My house front has had a facelift of style and excellence. Ryan followed up after the work was finished to see if there were any concerns. Ryan brings a new meaning to diligence and passion for his work and I would recommend him without reservation.
